Meet Sarah

Originally from France, my calling has taken me across the Earth.

Since 2015, I’ve worked in France and internationally in humanitarian and social work, in the disability and aged care sectors. Those lived and professional experiences have confirmed the incredible resilience and diversity of humans, and how precious the natural world is.

I landed in Australia in 2018. The Adelaide Hills have captured my heart, offering me a profound sense of belonging and connection.

I am a gentle, caring, compassionate soul who finds meaning in deep reflections, existential exploration, and creative expressions through writing, poetry, and movement. I am a person-centred, inclusive and trauma-informed ecotherapist, forest guide, humanistic and holistic counsellor.

Nature is my sanctuary: where I experience the full spectrum of emotions, from discomfort to belonging, acceptance and gratitude. With Nature, I feel alive.

By working with me, on Earth, with the land, we create a space where you can explore, experience, feel, reconnect, grow and start healing

What is Ecotherapy?

  • Balance

The idea of finding the perfect balance is a myth.

In psychotherapy, we work on a sense of homeostasis and inner peace. Realistic balance comes from experiencing, embracing and integrating life's inevitable challenges and imperfections.

  • Change

You can be the master of change and transformation. Through experiences of awakening and self-realization, you can gain the ability to navigate and shape change in your daily life. With openness and awareness, you can integrate profound changes within yourself.

You can embody a more authentic and wild version of who you are.

  • Cycles

In nature, therapy helps you embrace its natural rhythms and cycles. It guides you in accepting chaos, disorder, and discomfort as essential aspects of transformation. Just as seasons bring both destruction and renewal, therapy acknowledges that sometimes unpacking and destroying can be necessary for rebuilding.

Therapy is an exploration of seasons of growth and changes.

  • Mindfulness

Ecotherapy is a gradual and intentional process that thrives on deep grounding, care, and nervous system regulation. It involves careful attention to observation, active listening, stillness, contemplation, and the art of noticing. You are in the now.

    Therapy is mindful work.

  • Nature

You are intrinsically connected to nature. Your life is one of exploring yourself and healing in harmony with the natural world. The wisdom of Mother Earth supports and guides you towards exploring, understanding, and healing.

Ecotherapy is rooted in these Nature-Based Approaches, drawing on the profound intelligence of the environment to facilitate your personal transformation. You are nature.

  • Processes

Therapy can be a challenging and uncomfortable process. It is a slow, confusing, and occasionally painful work. It is a process of organizing the mind and reconnecting with the self and within nature. Therapy fosters healing and growth.

Therapy is deep and transformative. It is soul work.

  • Reconnection

Therapy is a profound invitation to reconnection.

One that brings you back to yourself. Exploring all the layers and dimensions of who you are. It involves deepening your connection with your higher and truer self. It’s rediscovering your bond with your Home - the natural world.

  • Relationships

Walking the Therapeutic Path is learning to master Relationships and Communication.

Through the therapeutic encounter, we can enhance your ability to connect with others through genuine endeavours and empathy. We can focus on forming, maintaining, and enriching relationships with individuals and groups. Most importantly, you can strengthen the connection with yourself, nature, animals, and the environment.

  • Spirituality

Therapy can support you in reconnecting with your deeper, darker and also brighter Self. We can explore and embrace the unknown, the invisible, and the intangible together. Therapy can also be a spiritual quest.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

“Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.”

  • Mary Elizabeth Frye (1932).

  • Forest Bathing is a Japanese practice held in the magical Kuitpo Forest, South Australia.

This nature-based practice offers soft and slow ways to calm the mind, ease stress, and nurture emotional well-being. By slowing down and engaging your senses, we invite mindfulness, creativity, and deep relaxation into your body. Whether through walking in the forest, connecting with plants, or creating art from natural materials, each practice strengthens your connection to yourself and nature. We foster clarity, peace, and explore senses of belonging.

  • We offer 1:1 ecotherapy, which is outdoor therapy (also called “Walk’n’Talk Therapy”) where we combine psychotherapy and movements. We also offer online therapy. We aim together to meet you where you are. We deepen self-exploration, reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, and foster alignment thanks to mindful and nature-based practices.

Testimonials

“I did a workshop with Sarah and instantly felt welcomed, understood, and completely at ease around her. She created such a safe and warm space it’s hard to even put into words how I felt afterwards. There was something so grounding, gentle, and real about her presence. I left feeling deeply moved and grateful.
I’ll definitely be coming back and I recommend her 100%. Thank you, Sarah”

(Female participant, Forest Bathing)

“Sarah provides a beautiful experience with nature, poetry, meditation and personal sharing, that allows you to connect back to nature. This was a very grounding and aligning session for me and I look forward to meeting with Sarah for more!” (Female, Forest Bathing)

“I attended a workshop with Sarah, who is a very attentive, caring, and thoughtful person, and who gives excellent advice. I also had the opportunity to work with her, and I can say that she is professional, knows what she wants, knows where she's going, and is truly inspiring. I highly recommend her.” (Female, Forest Bathing)

“Great experience with Sarah during a workshop, thanks for your understanding, kindness and therapeutic analysis! Thanks 🙏.” (Female, 1:1 Counselling & Forest Bathing)

“Sarah allowed me to truly slow down and recentre myself during the retreat held in France this September.
I joined this retreat to give myself the gift of slowing down — to step away from my usual life, from work and family, so I could breathe and gain perspective. Another intention was to meet other humans who are sensitive to nature and introspection, and I was well served in that regard. The place itself, and the surrounding nature offered me the outer and inner calm I had been seeking.
The people present deeply enriched me over those 48 hours, and staying in touch from afar fills me with joy for future meetings and collaborations. This retreat was, for me, a reconnection with my body, and the various workshops, guided within a safe and nurturing space, allowed that to happen. I also regained confidence and motivation to carry forward my current professional projects.”

(Male, Ecotherapy Retreat in France, 2025)

“Sarah holds beautiful space, she puts her heart in her crafts. She's able to weave magic into the simplicity of things. Highly recommend! Forest bathing very underrated”
